Abstract | Paddlefish Polyodon spathula, 180–250 mm in total length and reared in concrete raceways, were implanted with 1-mm-long coded wire tags to evaluate short-term (72 h) retention. Retention rates were significantly different (P < 0.01) among implant locations. Mean retention rates were: tip of rostrum, 71%; side of rostrum, 96%: underside of rostrum, 99%. |
